MediaBuys, as the agency of record for Round One Endorsements, Inc. represented Winky Wright in sponsorship and endorsement deals.

MediaBuys, LLC has signed on as the exclusive representative for boxer Winky Wright's Round One Endorsements, Inc. and will lead the search for official sponsors of the upcoming Winky Wright vs. Bernard Hopkins fight on July 21st, 2007, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, which will be aired live on HBO Pay-Per-View.

"We have a short window, but this event is a solid marketing opportunity for sponsors and a great way to tie into a long term relationship with the sport and tap into it's demographics," says MediaBuys CEO Chick Ciccarelli, "Winky Wright is a world class boxer and pay-per-view boxing draws big viewership which is perfect for brand exposure."

The megahype surrounding the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Oscar De La Hoya fight last May delivered 2.15 million HBO pay-per-view buys and $120 million in revenue making the bout the top event in PPV history according to the Hollywood Reporter. The Wright vs. Hopkins pay-per-view telecast will be distributed by HBO Pay-Per-View and will be available to more than 61 million pay-per-view homes. The telecast will be available in HD-TV for those viewers who can receive HD.

Wright (51-3-1, 25 KOs) is coming off a unanimous decision over Ike Quartey and a controversial draw with middleweight champion Jermain Taylor. Hopkins (47-4-1, 32 KOs), a longtime champion in the middleweight division, last fought against Antonio Tarver in June, winning a light heavyweight title in what was at the time Hopkins' retirement fight. Both fighters are considered among the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world.

"We're delighted that MediaBuys is on board and look forward to a long relationship," said Damian Ramirez, who is a senior advisor for Winky Promotions and shares CEO duties with Wright in Round One Endorsements. "We have a stable of talent and events worthy of corporate endorsement and can deliver a great return on investment."

The sponsorship packages will vary depending on level of commitment, but will include exposure on a major cable network (HBO PPV and addition airings thereafter), pre, during and post fight exposure, arena signage, official event related apparel worn by athlete and corner-men, event related equipment such as ring mats, posts, turnbuckle coverings, locker room signage, post fight party, ring tones, boxer endorsed broadcast spots, ring side tickets & hotel accommodations, product placement, ticket branding, press related items, long-term tie-ins for future events and an upcoming documentary about Winky Wright's life as a boxer.
